About Us

CTSA Head Start/Early Head Start is funded by the American Indian/Alaska Native program Branch (AIAN) of the Administration of Children, Youth and Families (ACYF), the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and office of Head Start.  

All centers are participants in the Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and USDA commodities program for nutritious meal services.  Other programs include a Johnson O’Malley (JOM) program for American Indian children enrolled in Head Start. Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) program which provides childcare assistance to eligible American Indian families in our service area and our extended day program at the CTSA Early Childhood Development Center in Shawnee.
